My Journey to This Work
Meet Kathleen McIntyre, MSW LCSWA

I didn’t begin as a therapist.
My journey started with a love of Nature.
Before I understood the language of the nervous system, I learned the language of forests—their resilience, their cycles, and their miraculous capacity for restoration. With a Master’s in Forest Resources, I studied how even the most degraded landscapes could return to life with care and the right conditions.
What I didn’t know then was that I was preparing for a different kind of reclamation: the healing of the human spirit.
Life invited me inward through grief, anxiety, and the ache of disconnection. Nature became my refuge and teacher. Somatic practices became my compass. Slowly, I came to understand that humans, like the land, can be restored.
Today, I weave somatic therapy, presence-based coaching, trauma-informed care, and the wisdom of the natural world into a deeply relational approach to healing.
My Work Is
Somatic
Grounded in body wisdom, sensation, breath, and nervous system awareness.
Nature-rooted
Engaging with the natural world as collaborator and mirror.
Trauma-informed
Steady, spacious, and paced to honor each individual.
Presence-based
Relational, empathetic, intuitive, and attuned.
Ritual-infused
Honoring thresholds, grief, transitions, and the sacred.
