Community: Elemental Embodiment Practice - November
Davidson College

First Thursday of the Month – Free Community Event
A Nature-Inspired Practice for Grounding, Calm, and Connection
In this 45-minute practice, you’ll explore simple standing movements rooted in qigong and inspired by the four directions and elements: air, fire, water, and earth. Through breath, gentle movement, and embodied awareness, we’ll cultivate a sense of groundedness, nervous system regulation, and deeper calm and ease.
Each month, we’ll gather in the same place, inviting the changing seasons and landscape to become part of our practice. As we slow down and orient to both the land and our bodies, we cultivate a deeper sense of connection, gratitude, and presence.
No prior experience is needed, and all movements can be adapted for a wide range of bodies and abilities.
