When your soul is touched… through music, art, connection with another, or nature… there is inner movement.  Tears of joy might well up from a deep sacred place, or a feeling that at that moment, all’s right with the world.  You feel alive, and your soul is being fed.

What inspires this inner movement within me might be different than what stirs you.  But for both of us, if our soul isn’t being nourished, we start going through the motions of life, miss out on experiencing joy, and feel less content and more frustrated.

Connection with the present moment, to your body, and what is right in front of you creates alchemy for your soul to be touched and for you to experience the aliveness of this inner movement.

As I enter back into the busyness of life from my adventure in the Pacific Northwest, I feel the distraction of all the screen time and multitasking that is inherent to the life I have created for myself.  I’m assessing my patterns of doing life and shifting those that cause me to disconnect from that part of me that is moved by the small sweet moments.

I commit to myself to retreat and adventure…. Even in micro-doses, as it’s all nourishment for the soul.
