There’s a shift happening; can you feel it? The sap is rising.

Rising—this word holds so much potential. There is hope in rising—change is often afoot when there is a rising up.

  • Stored energy in the roots of trees and bushes rises up to create new life.
  • Every great movement happens with a rising up and coming together of a collective
  • Our bodies heal when we rise up and say yes to ourselves, with one gentle, compassionate choice at a time.

As the days become longer, new life emerges. The clay of our body is feeling spring awakening. Our rhythm is inherently connected to the earth’s rhythms. The sacred fires of creation are being stoked, which is also true for us.

What is being called to rise up and emerge through you? This is the work of spring. Just as the roots hold potential for growth, your inner stirrings, seed planted, now have the collective energy of the natural world behind them to take root and sprout.

How do you partner with Nature in this great rising up?

  1. Settle into the clay of your body—feel yourself fully occupying your body (embodied)— particularly the anchor points of your feet, hips, shoulders, and heart.
  2. Your “sap” needs to flow after the winter stagnation. Gentle movement will support the return of greater flow in both body and emotions.
  3. Tend to your breath. The natural world is taking a deep inhale. The element of Air is connected with the season of spring. Tend to your breath as you receive the gift of Air with intention.
  4. Partner with Nature. Slowly walk or sit, with your full attention on feeling your body as your senses and heart connect with the natural world around you.

Without effort, our body, mind, and spirit will respond. We are designed to.

The sap is rising. Align yourself with this great rising up, as it will nourish and awaken you.

I have some offerings this spring that will support you in riding this wave of creative potential. I hope you can join us as the sap is rising!

With so much love,

Kathleen
